RULES: Frozen Ocean Speedway will run under W.K.A. rules except for the following.
1.   Engines built to I.K.F. specifications will be allowed until the year 2000. 
2.   The club had adopted an all-Burris-Tire-Only rule at all points-run events.
3.   All junior restricted classes MUST run W.K.A. restrictor plates.
4.   A Briggs Un-Restricted junior heavy class (Age 12-15) will be run.
5.   The restricted Kart can be raced in the UN-restricted class by removing the restrictor plate.
6.   Body work for the Yamaha classes can be either I.K.F. or W.K.A.
7.   Rear bumpers MUST cover at least half of the rear tires, and be of a two-(2) horizontal bar construction.
8.   Double nerf bars are mandatory.
9.   No tire scuffing.
10.  Steering fairings in all classes must be level with the bottom of the driver's helmet visor or below.  The driver must be 
      seated in a driving position when the fairing is measured.  This also includes clear fairings.
11.  No fairing allowed in the Junior I and II Classes.
12.  NO duplicate numbers will be allowed in the same class with or without letters.  NO three-digit numbers allowed.  
       Numbers will be handed out on first-come, first-serve bases.  Black on white, or white on black preferred, but other colors
       will be allowed IF numbers are easily read.  All numbers MUST be seen at race speed by the scorers and track personnel.  
       Numbers MUST be 6" tall.  You must be seen to be scored.
13.  NO tire prep at the track.
14.  Each heat will qualify 7 karts.
15.  Consi will qualify 4 karts.
16.  A class must average 5 karts in a season to be eligible for a hi-point motor at the end of the race year.  If a motor change is 
      needed, see the tech person to get the O.K. BEFORE changing the motor.
17.  After the first race, line-ups will be done on a handicap basis, week to week.  The racer who accumulates the most points for 
      the night will line up at rear of the heat race the following week, and so on down the line until the racer with the least amount
      of points is on the pole.  Feature race line-ups will be done with the usual lottery draw.
18.  Only ONE person is allowed in the pre-grid area for each kart and driver.
19.  As soon as the first kart leaves the pit to begin the race, a (90) second clock will start.  If your kart stalls before the green flag
      flies, (in the pits or on the track) you may re-start if time remains on the 90-second clock.
20.  If your kart stalls after the green, you will NOT be allowed to re-start.
21.  All decisions on the track will be made by the promoter, Bill Denman, and/or the race director, John Scriven, and/or the Head 
      Flagger.
22.  You will receive NO POINTS if you are BLACK FLAGGED for reasons other than machine failure.
23.  4 cycle/2 cycle mufflers are mandatory.
24.  After the first lap is completed all restarts will be single file.
25.  It is the last year for Snell 95 helmets
26.  No tinted or smoked visors after dark.
STOCK NOVICE ENGINE AND KART RULES:
1.   Must have stock ignition timing - unaltered stock ignition key must be in place - any attempt to alter the stock ignition timing
      is illegal.
2.   Carb. to teched per stock rules - must have .425 purple resricter in place.
3.   The club has adopted an all Burris tire rule at all points run events.

5.   The restricted kart may run in the unrestricted class by removing the restrictor plate.
